Dr. Elizabeth F. Leverenz,
Dr. Elizabeth Leverenz, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Fontbonne University in St. Louis in 2001. Upon graduation, while working in the field of wildlife conservation, she decided to pursue a career in the field of veterinary medicine and went on to work as a veterinary technician at a companion animal emergency hospital. Dr. Leverenz received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 2008. While attending veterinary school she enjoyed working with therapy dogs and visiting children's hospitals and nursing homes. Prior to joining Park East Animal Hospital, Dr. Leverenz completed a thirteen month rotating internship in companion animal medicine and surgery at Coral Springs Animal Hospital in Coral Springs, Florida. Her primary interests are in dermatology, internal medicine and critical care. Dr. Leverenz lives on the upper west side with her retriever mix, Frankie. In her spare time she loves to read, jog, camp and spend time with her family and friends.
